Influenza A H1N1 NS (Non-structural protein 1, NS1A, NS1)은 234개의 아미노산으로 구성된 단백질로, Influenza A virus (strain A/Swine/Iowa/15/1930 H1N1)에 속합니다. 이 바이러스는 조류, 인간, 돼지를 숙주로 하며, NS1 단백질은 핵과 세포질에 위치합니다. NS1은 세포의 pre-mRNA 3' 말단 가공에 필요한 단백질(CPSF4, PABPN1)에 결합하여 이들의 기능을 억제함으로써 세포 단백질 합성을 저해하고, 바이러스가 인터페론 합성 및 항바이러스 상태 형성을 회피하도록 돕습니다. 또한 NS1은 감염 초기 세포질에서 EIF2AK2/PKR 활성화를 억제하여 항바이러스 반응을 방지합니다.
