IGFBP2 (insulin-like growth factor binding protein 2)는 IGF 결합 단백질 패밀리에 속하며 다양한 IGF를 결합합니다. IGFBP2는 교모세포종, 전립선암, 활막육종, 신경모세포종, 대장암, 부신피질암, 폐암, 윌름스 종양, 간모세포종 등 다양한 암종에서 과발현됩니다. 또한 IGFBP2의 과발현은 일부 종양의 공격성과 상관관계를 보입니다. IGFBP2는 세포 침습성에 기여하는 matrix metalloprotease 2의 발현을 활성화합니다.
