Eukaryotic RNA polymerase I (Pol I)는 리보솜 RNA(rRNA) 유전자의 전사와 rRNA 생성에 관여하는 효소 복합체입니다. Pol I은 종에 따라 6~14개의 폴리펩타이드로 구성되며, 그중 Rpa1과 Rpa2가 주요 서브유닛을 형성합니다. POLR1B는 효모의 Rpa2와 상동성을 가지는 단백질입니다 (Seither and Grummt, 1996).
