Target Information
Red Fluorescent Protein (RFP) is derived from Discosoma sp. (Uniprot ID: Q9U6Y8) and widely used as a molecular tag for studying protein localization, reporter gene expression, and protein-protein interactions.
Although RFP exists as a homotetramer, monomeric variants have been developed for various applications.
