Target Information
CD52, also known as CAMPATH-1 antigen, is a glycoprotein expressed on the surface of immune cells such as T and B lymphocytes, natural killer cells, and monocytes.
It plays a role in immune regulation and is studied as a therapeutic target in diseases including multiple sclerosis, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and autoimmune disorders.
CD52 is the target of alemtuzumab, a monoclonal antibody used to deplete CD52-expressing immune cells in these conditions.
