Target Information
This gene belongs to a conserved family sharing the T-box DNA-binding domain. T-box genes encode transcription factors that regulate developmental processes. In mice, disruption of a similar protein affects early cortical development, leading to loss of projection neurons in the olfactory bulbs and cortex. The C-terminal region of this protein is necessary and sufficient for association with the guanylate kinase domain of calcium/calmodulin-dependent serine protein kinase.
