Product Description
DPP8 (dipeptidyl-peptidase 8) is a dipeptidyl aminopeptidase that cleaves substrates in a post-proline manner. It is a homolog of DPPIV and fibroblast activation protein (FAP).
The DPP8 gene is localized to human chromosome 15q22 and encodes a protein of 882 amino acids. The gene shows ubiquitous expression and the protein is localized in the cytoplasm with a molecular weight of approximately 100 kDa.
DPP8 lacks N- and O-glycosylation sites and does not contain a transmembrane region. It belongs to the DPPIV gene family.
