Diacylglycerol kinase η (DGKH) is encoded by the DGKH gene mapped to human chromosome 13q14. The encoded protein belongs to the type II diacylglycerol kinase (DGK) enzyme family. DGKH has two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms, η1 and η2. Both isoforms share catalytic a and b subdomains and an N-terminal pleckstrin homology (PH) domain. The η2 isoform contains a sterile α-motif domain at its C-terminal end, which is absent in the η1 isoform.
