Potassium sodium-activated channel subfamily T member 2 (KCNT2), also known as SLO2.1, is a Na⁺-activated K⁺ (KNa) channel. An elevation in intracellular sodium concentration ([Na⁺]ᵢ) activates this channel. It forms tetrameric complexes, with each subunit containing six transmembrane regions.

KCNT2 is expressed in the heart and central nervous system and belongs to the mammalian Slo potassium channel gene family. The protein indirectly responds to neuronal sensors, and the gene encoding it is localized on human chromosome 1q31.3. KCNT2 may play a role in modulating the basal level of cellular excitability and contribute to resting membrane potentials.
