C2CD2L (C2 domain containing protein 2 like) is a type I transmembrane protein, which has its C-terminal facing the cytosol and the N-terminal projecting into the lumen. This gene maps to human chromosome 11q23.3, and is expressed predominantly in the pancreatic islets. It also contains a C2 domain, and shows similarity to synaptotagmin.
