Description
The Src-homology-3 domain (SH3) of the protein SH3GL (SH3-containing Grb2-like) is a 50 to 60 amino-acid module. The C-terminal end contains an SH3 domain and exhibits 56–50% amino acid analogy with SH3 of Sem-5/Drk/Grb2. The N-terminal of SH3GL is unique compared with any known protein. SH3GL1 is ubiquitously expressed. The gene coding for SH3GL protein is mapped to human chromosome 19p13.3.
