Mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), also known as extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK), exists in two isoforms:
- ERK1 (MAPK3) – located on human chromosome 16p11.2
- ERK2 (MAPK1) – located on human chromosome 22q11.2
This Mouse monoclonal antibody (IgG1 isotype) is derived from the MAPK-YT hybridoma, produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells (NS1) and splenocytes from BALB/c mice immunized with a synthetic phosphorylated peptide containing amino acids corresponding to the phosphorylated form of the ERK activation loop, conjugated to KLH.
The isotype was determined by a double diffusion immunoassay using Mouse Monoclonal Antibody Isotyping Reagents (Product Number ISO2).
