GAPT (growth factor receptor-bound protein 2 (Grb2)-binding adaptor protein, transmembrane) is a transmembrane adaptor protein, which is expressed on myeloid and B cells. It has many Grb2-binding domains present in its cytosolic tail. It also has a transmembrane and an extracellular region. It has five tyrosine residues present in its cytoplasmic domain, out of which four are present in the Grb2-binding motif. It resides in the plasma membrane but is not found in lipid rafts.
