Laeverin (LVRN), also called aminopeptidase Q, is a 120 kDa protein belonging to the M1 family of aminopeptidases.
It is a type II integral membrane protein with HEXXHX18E gluzincin motif and is specifically expressed in extravillous trophoblast of placenta.
The LVRN gene is localized on human chromosome 5q23.1.
