Increased expression of MUCL1 has been associated with higher tumor grade and decreased survival in ER+ breast cancers. Thus, MUCL1 can be useful as a prognostic marker for breast carcinomas and may also have potential therapeutic implications . Anti-MUCL1 antibody is specific for MUCL1 in humans.
