Human SI (6476)
Sucrase-isomaltase (SI) is a small intestinal enzyme belonging to the glycoside hydrolase 31 (GH31) family.
It consists of duplicated N- and C-terminal catalytic domains and a hydrophobic +1 subsite for substrate specificity.
The two domains are connected through the small intestinal brush-border membrane via an O-glycosylated stalk from the N-terminal domain.
