Description
Monoclonal Anti-Neurofilament 200 (mouse IgG1 isotype) is derived from the hybridoma produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from an immunized mouse. Neurofilaments are one of the five major groups of intermediate filaments (IFs) found predominantly in neuronal cells or tissues. They consist of three major proteins with apparent molecular weights of 68 kDa, 160 kDa, and 200 kDa, named NEFL (light), NEFM (medium), and NEFH (heavy), respectively. These proteins are synthesized in neuronal perikarya, assembled into filaments, and slowly transported within axons toward synaptic terminals.
