Aldrich® Sure/Stor™ Flask

Capacity: 100 mL, Plastic-Coated Glass

Designed for safe, reliable storage and dispensing of air-sensitive and odoriferous chemicals, pyrophorics, alkyl lithiums, Grignards, corrosives, and purified or deuterated solvents.

Features

• High-vacuum PTFE valve-to-glass seal prevents air contamination and septum leakage after needle penetration
• Heavy-wall borosilicate glass construction
• Removable side-arm hose connector for easy vacuum or inert gas line attachment
• Plastic-coated flasks reduce breakage risk and contain spills
• Supplied with 2 septa (replacement septa: Z106496)

*The thermoplastic coating softens above 110 °C and becomes less protective. Tests show the coating prevents flying glass when a fully evacuated flask is broken.

Sure/Stor Technique

1. Connect flask to vacuum line to remove air and odor, then refill with inert gas.
2. Open PTFE valve to allow syringe or pipette access through septum to reach stored liquid.
3. Close PTFE valve after needle removal and pump out again to remove air and odor (use rubber septa Z553913 or Z554030).
4. For long-term storage, replace hose connector with a rubber septum for secondary protection.
