This plasmid contains two promoters and two multiple cloning sites for the dual expression of transgenes. The first multiple cloning site allows for the expression of a transgene in mammalian cells under the control of the CMV promoter. The second multiple cloning site is downstream of the human Ubiquitin (Ub) promoter for expression in mammamalian cells. The second promoter (Ub) is approximately 8-10 fold weaker than the CMV promoter in most commonly used cell lines by transient transfection.
