Recombinant human interleukin-2 (IL-2), expressed in HEK 293 cells. Functions as a T-cell growth factor (TCGF) and immunoregulatory lymphokine. Known as Aldesleukin.
IL-2 is a type I cytokine produced by T-cells in response to antigenic or mitogenic stimulation. Recombinant human IL-2 is a 15.5 kDa glycosylated monomer containing 134 amino acid residues and one intrachain disulfide bond.
