Cadherin Mimetic, Aqueous Solution
MAPTrix™ Technology provides a true extracellular microenvironment (ECM) by presenting combinatorial peptide motifs. The ECM, defined by biochemical and physical cues, influences a wide range of cellular processes including adhesion, proliferation, differentiation, and phenotype-specific functions.
Conventional technologies offer simple environments that support basic cell adhesion, but are not optimal for complex cellular regulation. Crosstalk among signaling pathways enhances cellular responses such as adhesion and proliferation.
Studies show that presenting combinations of ECM-derived peptides on surfaces can improve cell adhesion strength and focal adhesion assembly, and promote higher proliferation rates of primary or stem cells.
