Target Information
ADAMTS12 (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs-12) is a member of the ADAMTS protein family. These proteins share several modules, including a propeptide region, metalloproteinase domain, disintegrin-like domain, and thrombospondin type 1 (TS-1) motif. Members differ in the number of C-terminal TS-1 motifs and may have unique C-terminal domains. ADAMTS12 contains eight TS-1 motifs and may play roles in pulmonary cell development or tumor processes through proteolytic activity or regulation of cell adhesion.
