Target Information
The PCDH7 gene belongs to the protocadherin gene family, a subfamily of the cadherin superfamily. It encodes a membrane protein with seven cadherin repeats in its extracellular domain, involved in cell-cell recognition and adhesion. Alternative splicing produces isoforms with distinct cytoplasmic tails.
