Target Information
Cytokeratin 3는 keratin 유전자 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, type II cytokeratin은 기본성 또는 중성 단백질로 구성되어 있으며, 단순 및 중층 상피 조직의 분화 과정에서 이형성 케라틴 사슬 쌍으로 함께 발현됩니다. Cytokeratin 3는 KRT12와 함께 각막 상피에서 특이적으로 발현되며, 이들 유전자 변이는 Meesmann’s Corneal Dystrophy와 관련이 있습니다. Type II cytokeratin 유전자는 염색체 12q12-q13 영역에 클러스터되어 있습니다. (출처: NCBI Gene)
