For maximum recovery, please spin prior to use. Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 µg, 10 µg and 20 µg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted.
For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots; aliquots below 20 µL are not recommended.
Please never store a kinase diluted. If properly stored at -80°C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase.

Target Information
ZAK is a leucine zipper-containing mitogen-activated protein related to the MLKs in both sequence and function. Like the MLKs and other MAP3Ks, ZAK activates MAP2Ks.
ZAK is a member of the MAPKKK family of signal transduction molecules and encodes a protein with an N-terminal kinase catalytic domain, followed by a leucine zipper motif and a sterile-alpha motif.
This magnesium-binding protein forms homodimers and is located in the cytoplasm. The protein mediates gamma radiation signaling leading to cell cycle arrest, and its activity plays a role in cell cycle checkpoint regulation.
ZAK also exhibits pro-apoptotic activity. Alternate transcriptional splice variants encoding different isoforms have been characterized.
