Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The MFGE8 gene encodes a preproprotein processed into multiple products. The major product, lactadherin, is a membrane glycoprotein that promotes phagocytosis of apoptotic cells and is implicated in wound healing, autoimmune disease, and cancer.
Lactadherin can be further processed into medin, the major component of aortic medial amyloid (AMA).
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
