Target Information

Zinc-finger proteins contain DNA-binding domains and have a wide variety of functions, most of which involve transcriptional activation or repression. Most zinc-finger proteins include a Kruppel-type DNA binding domain and a KRAB domain, which interacts with KAP1 to recruit histone-modifying proteins.

ZNF460 (zinc finger protein 460), also known as HZF8 or ZNF272, is a 562 amino acid nuclear protein expressed ubiquitously at low levels and highly in pancreas and liver. It belongs to the Krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family, containing 11 C2H2-type zinc fingers and a KRAB domain, and is involved in transcriptional regulation.
