Target Information
ATP5G2 (ATPase protein 9, ATPase subunit c) is a component of mitochondrial membrane ATP synthase (F1F0 ATP synthase or Complex V), responsible for ATP production from ADP in the presence of a proton gradient. It is the major protein accumulated in storage bodies of individuals affected by ceroid lipofuscinosis (Batten disease).
