Target Information
TCTN3는 Tectonic 단백질 패밀리에 속하며, Hedgehog (Hh) 신호전달에 의해 조절되는 신경관 패턴 형성에 관여하는 진화적으로 보존된 분비 및 막단백질 그룹의 일원입니다.
TCTN3의 발현 패턴과 기능은 완전히 밝혀지지 않았지만, TCTN1과 58%의 유사성을 보입니다.
TCTN1은 배아 발생 초기에 Hh 신호에 관여하는 부위에서 발현되며, 돌연변이 마우스는 E13.5~E16.5 사이에 사망하고 holoprosencephaly를 나타내어 Hh 활성 인자로서의 역할을 시사합니다.
발생 후반기에는 TCTN1이 신경관 전후부에서 Hh 경로의 억제자로 작용할 가능성이 있습니다.
