Target Information
Trex1 (ATRIP)는 인간의 주요 3'→5' exonuclease로, DNA 손상 후 체크포인트 신호 전달에 필요합니다. 이 단백질은 단일가닥 DNA에 결합하여, 손상 부위에서 ATR(ataxia telangiectasia and Rad3 related protein) 키나아제를 모집합니다. Trex1은 ATR 발현에 필수적이며, 두 개의 다른 개방 판독 프레임(ORF)을 사용합니다. 상위 ORF는 ATR과 상호작용하며 DNA 손상으로 유도된 핵 내 초점에 위치하고, 하위 ORF는 exonuclease 활성을 가지며 DNA polymerase III의 서브유닛일 수 있습니다. 이 유전자의 돌연변이는 Aicardi-Goutières syndrome, chilblain lupus, Cree encephalitis와 관련이 있습니다.
