Target Information
IL-16 단백질은 다양한 생리적 기능을 가진 다기능성 사이토카인으로, T 세포 활성 조절, 화학주성 촉진, HIV 복제 억제에 관여합니다. CD4를 매개로 한 신호 전달 과정을 통해 기능하며, 단백질은 프로테올리틱 절단을 거쳐 두 가지 기능적 단백질을 생성합니다. C-말단 펩타이드가 사이토카인 기능을 담당하고, N-말단 산물은 세포 주기 조절에 관여할 수 있습니다. Caspase 3가 절단 과정에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있으며, 대체적 스플라이싱으로 다양한 전사 변형체가 생성됩니다.
