Target Information
CD11a (LFA-1 alpha, ITGAL)은 CD18과 함께 leukocyte function-associated antigen 1 (LFA-1)을 구성하는 αLβ2 인테그린입니다.
CD11a는 LFA-1 복합체의 활성화에 관여하며, ICAM-1, -2, -3과의 상호작용을 통해 백혈구 간 부착 및 림프구 공동자극 신호전달에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
세포 자극 시 고친화성 형태로 전환되어 ICAM 분자들과의 결합을 강화하며, 이는 면역세포의 조직 특이적 정착, 분화, 증식 및 T세포 기능 조절에 기여합니다.
CD11a 기능을 차단하는 항체나 소분자 억제제는 염증성 질환 치료의 주요 접근법으로 연구되고 있으며, 예를 들어 인간화 항-CD11a 항체인 Efalizumab(Raptiva)은 염증 부위로의 T세포 이동을 억제합니다.
또한 simvastatin은 CD11a의 알로스테릭 부위에 결합하여 면역 조절 및 림프구 콜린성 활성 증가를 유도할 수 있습니다.
