Target Information

ALKBH5 (RNA demethylase ALKBH5)는 RNA의 N(6)-methyladenosine (m6A)을 산화적 탈메틸화하여 demethylation을 수행하는 dioxygenase입니다. 이는 고등 진핵생물의 mRNA 내 가장 흔한 내부 변형으로, mRNA 처리 및 수출에 영향을 줍니다. 또한 in vitro 조건에서 단일 가닥 DNA의 N(6)-methyladenosine도 탈메틸화할 수 있습니다. 작용에는 분자 산소, alpha-ketoglutarate 및 철이 필요합니다.
