Target Information
The Golgi apparatus participates in glycosylation and transport of proteins and lipids in the secretory pathway. It consists of stacked cisternae and interacts with microtubules, which are important for Golgi reorganization during mitosis. The Golgins are a family of proteins localized to the Golgi, and the GOLGA1 protein is associated with Sjogren’s syndrome.
