Target Information
IDO1 (Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1)는 heme을 포함하는 세포 내 효소로, tryptophan, serotonin, melatonin과 같은 조절 분자의 indole ring을 산화적으로 절단합니다. 이 과정에서 kynurenine 계열의 생리활성 대사산물이 생성됩니다.
IDO1은 다양한 인체 조직, 대식세포(macrophages), 수지상세포(dendritic cells)에 발현되며, 염증 시 interferon(IFN)에 의해 유도됩니다.
IDO1의 tryptophan 분해는 바이러스, 세균, 기생충의 성장을 억제하며, 감염, 임신, 자가면역, 이식, 종양 등의 상황에서 면역조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
