This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned, and individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

This antibody has specificity for Human REG1B.

Target Information

REG1B may act as an inhibitor of spontaneous calcium carbonate precipitation and may be associated with neuronal sprouting in the brain and with brain and pancreas regeneration.
This gene belongs to the Reg gene family (types I–IV) and encodes a secreted protein similar to REG1A. REG1A is linked to islet cell regeneration and diabetogenesis and may play a role in pancreatic lithogenesis.
Reg family members REG1A, REGL, PAP, and REG1B are tandemly clustered on chromosome 2p12 and likely arose via gene duplication.
