Target Information
This gene encodes one of three natriuretic peptide receptors. Natriuretic peptides are small peptides that regulate blood volume and pressure, pulmonary hypertension, cardiac function, and various metabolic and growth processes. The encoded receptor mediates clearance of circulating and extracellular natriuretic peptides via endocytosis. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
