Target Information
Gatipotuzumab은 MUC1을 표적으로 하는 생물의약품 유사체(biosimilar)입니다.
MUC1(Mucin 1, Episialin, MAM-6, CA 15-3, PEM, EMA)은 대부분의 선상 및 관상 상피세포와 일부 조혈세포 계통에서 발현되는 대형 세포막 점액당단백질입니다.
이 단백질은 다수의 O-결합 당쇄를 가지며, 다양한 폴리모피즘으로 인해 분자량이 크게 달라질 수 있습니다. MUC1은 유방암을 포함한 90% 이상의 상피성 암종에서 과발현되며, 세포 내 위치 변화 및 당화 이상이 암 발생과 관련되어 있습니다.
또한, MUC1은 여러 cebB 수용체와 상호작용하며, erbB1(EGFR)과 공위치하는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
MUC1 유전자는 7개의 엑손을 포함하며, 다양한 스플라이싱 변이체를 생성합니다.
