Axin은 Wnt/β-catenin 경로의 주요 조절자로, 세포질 β-catenin의 인산화 및 분해에 관여하는 스캐폴드 단백질입니다.
ZBED3는 Zinc finger BED-type domain superfamily에 속하는 단백질로, Axin과 상호작용하는 단백질로 확인되었으며 Wnt/β-catenin 신호 경로를 조절하는 것으로 제안되었습니다.
RNA 간섭(RNAi) 실험에서 ZBED3 RNA를 표적화하면 Wnt 유도 β-catenin 축적, lymphoid enhancer binding factor-1 의존성 루시퍼레이스 리포터 활성 및 Wnt 유전자 발현이 감소함이 보고되었습니다.
