Target Information
The PNMT gene encodes an enzyme that catalyzes the last step of catecholamine biosynthesis, converting norepinephrine to epinephrine (adrenaline). It also exhibits beta-carboline 2N-methyltransferase activity and plays a key role in regulating epinephrine production.
