Target Information
T-cell activation requires both antigen recognition by the T-cell receptor and a costimulatory signal from receptors such as CD28, which interact with B7-1 (CD80) and B7-2 (CD86) on antigen-presenting cells. CD28 costimulation induces IL-2 transcription and stabilizes IL-2 via MAPK pathways (ERK, JNK) leading to AP1 formation. DUSP14 functions as a negative regulator of CD28 signaling.
