Target Information

Neuroserpin 유전자는 serpin 초과가족에 속하는 serine proteinase inhibitor를 암호화합니다. 이 단백질은 주로 뇌의 축삭에서 분비되며, tissue-type plasminogen activator를 선택적으로 억제합니다. 신경 성장 조절 및 시냅스 가소성 발달에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 이 유전자의 돌연변이는 Neuroserpin inclusion body를 동반한 가족성 뇌병증(FENIB)을 유발하며, 이는 신경세포 내 변형된 Neuroserpin 중합체의 축적을 특징으로 합니다. 여러 가지 대체 스플라이싱 변형이 확인되었으며, 동일한 단백질을 암호화합니다.
