Target Information
CD21 (complement receptor 2, CR2, C3D receptor, EBV receptor)는 C3 보체 단편과 결합하며, 면역복합체의 흡수 및 유지, 메모리 B 세포의 생존, T-의존 항원에 대한 체액성 면역반응의 발달에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
또한 Epstein-Barr virus(EBV)의 주요 결합 수용체로 작용하며, 프리온을 여포성 수지상 세포로 표적화하고 신경 침입을 촉진합니다.
CD21은 C3d, C3dg, iC3b 보체 구성요소, EBV, IFNα에 대한 수용체로 기능하며, CD23과 결합하고 CD19, CD81, Leu13과 함께 B 세포 활성화에 관여하는 신호전달 복합체를 형성합니다.
CD21 유전자의 변이는 전신성 홍반성 루푸스(SLEB9) 감수성과 관련이 있습니다.
다양한 스플라이싱 변이체가 존재하며 서로 다른 isoform을 암호화합니다.
