Target Information
This gene encodes a cytoplasmic protein containing SH3 domains and is part of a family involved in clathrin-mediated endocytosis. Intersectin 2 regulates formation of clathrin-coated vesicles and may also function in T cell antigen receptor (TCR) endocytosis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encode three distinct isoforms; additional variants exist but are not fully characterized.
