Cytokeratin 15은 케라틴 유전자 패밀리의 구성원으로, 상피세포의 구조적 안정성을 유지하는 중간 필라멘트 단백질입니다. 케라틴은 세포질 케라틴과 모발 케라틴으로 나뉘며, 대부분의 Type I 세포질 케라틴은 산성 단백질로 구성되어 있으며 이종 케라틴 사슬의 쌍으로 배열되어 있습니다. 이들은 염색체 17q21.2 영역에 클러스터되어 있습니다.
