hnRNP DL은 다양한 세포에서 발현되는 heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs) 계열의 단백질로, RNA 결합 단백질입니다. 이들은 heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA)와 복합체를 형성하며, pre-mRNA 가공 및 mRNA 대사, 수송에 관여합니다. 대부분의 hnRNP 단백질은 핵 내에 존재하지만 일부는 핵과 세포질 사이를 이동합니다. hnRNP 단백질들은 고유한 핵산 결합 특성을 가지며, 본 유전자가 암호화하는 단백질은 RNA 결합 도메인(RRM)을 두 개 포함합니다. 세 가지 전사체 변이가 보고되었으며, 그 중 하나는 nonsense-mediated mRNA decay의 후보로 번역되지 않을 가능성이 있습니다. 이 단백질의 이소형은 HNRPD 단백질과 유사합니다.
