Target Information
Norovirus is a highly contagious virus that causes vomiting and diarrhea. It can infect people of all ages and spreads easily through contaminated surfaces or contact. Mutations in the protruding domain 2 (P2 domain) of the Norovirus major capsid protein (VP1) lead to the emergence of various NOV variants. However, the role of the minor capsid protein (VP2) in VP1 variant generation remains unclear.
