Epsin2는 클라트린 피복 함입체(clathrin-coated invagination) 형성과 엔도사이토시스 과정에 관여하며, EPS15, AP-2, 클라트린과 상호작용합니다. 세포질 내 클라트린 피복 소포와 관련된 점상 구조물에 존재하며, 특히 골지 복합체 주변에 집중되어 있습니다. 뇌에서 가장 높은 발현을 보이며, 폐와 간에서는 낮은 수준으로 발현됩니다.
