For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The CD4 antigen participates in the recognition of MHC class II molecules and acts as a co-receptor for HIV.
CD4 is mainly expressed in T helper cells but is also found in monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. Tissue-level expression includes thymus, lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, and certain regions of the brain and gut.
CD4 contributes to T-cell activation via association with the T-cell receptor complex and the protein tyrosine kinase Lck. It may also mediate neuronal damage in infectious or immune-mediated CNS diseases.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts have been identified (RefSeq, July 2017).
