Target Information
Complement component 4 binding protein (C4bp)는 알파 및 베타 사슬로 구성된 3가지 변형체가 존재합니다. 주요 형태는 7개의 알파 사슬과 1개의 베타 사슬로 이루어진 570 kDa 복합체이며, 이외에 530 kDa 알파 사슬 호모헵타머 및 500 kDa (6 알파 + 1 베타) 복합체도 형성됩니다.
C4bp는 classical complement pathway의 활성화를 조절하며, C3b/C4b inactivator의 보조인자로 작용하여 C4b 및 C3b의 절단에 중요합니다. 또한 C4bC2a 복합체(C3 convertase)의 분해를 촉진하여 complement fragment C2a를 분리시킵니다.
C4bp의 알파 및 베타 사슬은 항응고 단백질 S와 상호작용하며, 알파 사슬은 단백질 S에 결합합니다. C4bp는 혈청에서 발현됩니다.
